Dear Initial D Production Team,

Initial D sparked my love of cars (from drawing them to working at an auto shop and now buying a '67 BMW in need of lots of TLC). I feel like the series has, honestly, changed my life, and I would be honored to pass on the magic of this legendary franchise to a new generation of enthusiasts. I know that this is a complete long shot, but if there’s one thing Initial D has taught me, other than to never underestimate Tofu Delivery Corollas, it’s that you’ve got to rage your dream & never give up– no matter the odds!

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Ella

It's nice to meet you! I’m a freshman mechE student, but I'm also really into the visual arts. Right now I'm actually creating an automotive-inspired collection at the Sterling Library at Yale!

That boring stuff aside, I’m a huge fan of Initial D! I love everything about it, from the characters to the cars (Mako & Sayuki's "SilEighty" is >>>>>>). Even my top artist on Spotify is “Delta Queens,” (. . . and I'm definitely listening to "Dance Around the World" as I write this, lol!).

Likewise, I admire Sung's backstory and work, especially his persistence and never-ending determination, no matter what life throws at him! So, when I heard that an Initial D movie was in the works and that Sung would be directing it, I knew I just had to reach out.

Now, here's where this Hail Mary gets interesting—I don’t have any acting experience, but I’m convinced that you could not find a better person to play Mako than me! I'll be in NYC until May and then back in LA for the summer, and I’d love to meet you for just 15 minutes and show you why I’m the perfect fit for Mako.
